it was raining hard a while ago and i needed to go to the internet cafe to download ALA Paredes' picture on the web for RC (Rizal Course). Dr. Cabrera asked us to look for something or someone who isn't related to Jose Rizal but reminds us of him. actually, i'm supposed to cut out a picture from magazines or newspapers but since all i have in the dormitory are some crumpled scratch papers and old books from last term, i decided to get one from the web. i'll just prepare an excuse if the prof asks. haha!

knowing that the rain was pouring, i wore a jacket over my oversized T-shirt and striped shorts, placed my two phones, my wallet and my USB Flashdrive inside my bag, snatched the umbrella and took the elevator. one and a half hours later, i'm sweating like a pig. the rain stopped and the air conditioning in here sucks!

anyway, forget how stupid i look right now. :p

about my RC assignment, there wasn't anyone nor anything else that reminds me of Rizal best other than Ala Paredes. both of them are such talented and versatile individuals who possess a great passion for art and travel. Ala is a free-spirited 24-year-old who has achieved and tried so many stuff that other twentysomethings have not yet done. she is a model, a painter, a singer, a nature lover, an entrepreneur, a globetrotter, a former VJ, a writer and a patriot. when she was about to leave the Philippines to move to Australia a year ago, she said she didn't want to leave because "I want to make positive changes, I want to save the country (the world, if possible). " i admire how much she wants to make the country a better place. and even if she is now living in a country which is totally different from the one she grew up in, she still finds time to come home every now and then. some role model!
