finally, my 16-year-old brother's hard work paid off. today, JIM received the award of MOST IMPROVED PLAYER in the 6th [not so sure] Mayor's Cup Interschool Basketball Tournament in Dagupan City, Pangasinan . not only that, he was also one of the MYTHICAL 12. CHAMPION pa yung team nila. *sigh* the fruits of his labor!

i've always believed he would someday be a great baller. even if i sometimes tell him that he's LAOS, i know that he has THE potential. he just needed more practice. my dad used to play basketball when he was in college. his former team mates said he was BRUTAL on court. naniniko daw kasi. jim, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. pag papanoorin mo siya, he seems so calm. hindi mo iisipin na may tinatago din pala siyang galing. i've seen him steal the opponent's ball several times during one of his games. nakakatapal din. but he doesn't always score high points. may play kasi sila.

pero astig talaga kasi nakapunta na siya sa iba't ibang lugar. two of the farthest were LUCENA and BACOLOD. imagine, nakasakay siya ng eroplano for the first time dahil sa pagbabasketball.

he's not a super intelligent kid pero hindi rin naman siya bumabagsak. hindi mo rin naman masasabi na the only thing he's good at is playing basketball. kasi sa totoo lang, madiskarte yan tsaka masipag. sa tingin ko nga mas magiging successful pa siya kaysa sakin pag magtatayo siya ng negosyo nya eh..

okay, okay. masyado na ang pagpuri ko sa kapatid ko. but hey, what can you do? i'm one proud sister. i'm sure he's going to LOOOVE the gift that i bought him for christmas. hay, sana he'll get to play in the UAAP.. even if we'll go to different schools, i'll cheer for him anyway. congrats again, bro!
